SIP AND STROKE

Every Monday at 7pm

DURING May, June & July

Sip and Stroke is back at The Courty! Join us every Monday during May, June and July for an unforgettable evening of creativity and relaxation.

Whether you're a seasoned painter or a complete beginner, this event is designed for anyone and everyone. Our talented instructors will guide you step-by-step through the creation of a beautiful masterpiece while you sip on wine and enjoy some snacks.

It's time to discover the artist within, let your imagination run wild, and immerse yourself in this interactive painting experience.

Spaces are limited, so make sure to reserve your spot early. All materials are included but if you wish to bring your own, it is also welcomed.

Upcoming themes are listed below.

UPCOMING THEMES

May 6th: Speed Portraits

Speed dating but make it a portrait! Team Painters sit steady as Team Muses play musical chairs every 5 minutes. Teams switch roles half way through the session and everyone will have been painted and have painted. You’ll be going home with drawings of you by strangers or friends and see yourself in a different light

May 13th: Less Dominant Hand Painting

Give in to painting with your non-dominant hand, it stimulates the brain’s cognitive and creative functions. Let go of expectations and have a giggle!

May 20th: Acrylic Pouring

Each person receives one canvas and multiple drop sheets that will become artworks too. This activity is about letting go of control and enjoying the movement of colour on their pieces. Go with the flow!

May 27th: Self Portraits

This is a confrontational one. Self-portraits are already daunting, so let’s make it scarier by adding a mirror, if you want. Try with and without! Draw yourself as an animal or a flower or an object if you see yourself that way too! It’s all about interpretation.

June 3rd: Guest Facilitator

Stay tuned for details on who it will be!

June 10th: Yarn Sculptures

Think coloured yarn and wire for miniature sculptures. Otherwise, go ahead and knit!
